Leigh Ann Hamby
Executive Director
Leigh Ann has 16 years of experience in the senior living industry with 15 of them as an Executive Director. Being in the senior living industry is a passion for Leigh Ann, and she enjoys making a difference in the lives of the residents. She has a degree in psychology from Auburn University and is a Certified Director of Assisted Living. When not at the community, she enjoys fishing with her husband and reading. She has a son and a daughter, who live in the Huntsville area near her, and a son in Denver, Colorado.
Louise Merriweather
Director of Health and Wellness
Louise has been a nurse for 20 years and has over 35 years of experience in senior living. She started in the industry as a CNA and established her career as a nurse. Louise has always had a heart for our seniors and has dedicated her career to making their lives full. She completed her education at JF Drake with an associate in nursing and is certified as a trainer for future CNAs. In her off-time, Louise enjoys teaching the youth at her church and spending time with her husband, enjoying her grandchild, and her family.
Katerina Lambert
Business Office Manager
Katerina has been the Business Office Manager at the community for over 13 years. She is a native of Huntsville and is the go-to person in the community. Katerina is married and has three children and four grandchildren with a fifth due this November. She excels in floral arranging and has a green thumb. Her heart is in the community, even having her own father as a resident at one time.
Rene D’ippolito
Life Enrichment Coordinator
Rene has a passion for providing residents opportunities for purposeful and engaged living while ensuring compassion and quality care are at the forefront of a person-focused approach. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral sciences.
Rene has worked and volunteered in settings with the elderly for over 15 years and has experience in both assisted living and private home care settings. As the Director of Life Enrichment, Rene energizes daily living with art, culture, crafts, and volunteer activities and opportunities for the residents, their families, and the surrounding community.
Outside of work, Rene enjoys volunteering with her church and cheering for her sons at all their extracurricular events.
Thomas Maddux
Director of Dining Services
Thomas comes to Proveer at Byrd Springs with 16 years of culinary experience and a very stout background as the former Birmingham Country Club Chef to a business partner of Seasons Catering in Cullman, AL. He graduated from the Culinard of Birmingham in 2008. His love of culinary was taught to him by his grandmother, which rooted him in a southern fine dining background. His passion in the culinary arts allowed him to compete in several competitions and adorn his walls with award-winning certificates and features in local magazines.
